A Bird’s Song

When I would play my song
You used to sing along.
I always seem to forget
How fragile are the very strong.
I’m sorry I can’t steal you
I’m sorry I can’t stay
So I put band-aids on your knees
And watch you fly away

I’m sending you away tonight
I’ll put you on a bird’s strong wing
I’m saving you the best way I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing

You know we’re not so far away
Get on a boat, get on a train
And if you ever think you’re drowning
I’ll try to slow the rain
In two years or so
Drop me a line
Write me a letter
I hope to find you’re doing better, better than today, better everyday

I’m sending you away tonight
I’ll put you on a bird’s strong wing
I’m saving you the best way I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing
I’m saving you the only way that I know how
I hope again one day to hear you sing
I hope again one day to see you bring your smile back around again

Behind Every Great Hero is a Greater Teacher

Perenelle Flamel I’m not really sure if this is the right portrait of her. But this is by far the most catchy.

If I’ll be given the chance to study under a fictional character, I will choose to be  an apprentice of “The Sorceress”, Perenelle Flamel.  Others would usually underestimate her for being a woman and the wife of the Alchemist, Nicholas Flamel; but once they witness the extent of her power, wit and cleverness, others who think lowly of her are left awestruck and defenseless. These are the same exact qualities that I want to improve and excel on. Apart from that, Perenelle justified the saying, “Behind every successful man is a woman”; and being a woman myself and a person who usually works behind the scenes to make things happen and make people (not just men) succeed, I firmly believe, without a doubt, that Perenelle Flamel is that one great teacher for me.
